Why people use Syllabus to Study Plan

A syllabus tells you what to learn but not when. Syllabus to Study Plan turns the topic list into a 12-week schedule with weekly checkpoints, practice problems, and a revision strategy. Useful when you need structure imposed on a self-study course or exam-prep timeline.

Self-study certification prep
Drop the official AWS / GCP / Azure / CFA / PMP syllabus, get a 12-week plan with topic-week pairings + weekly practice + final-week revision schedule. Replaces the “just read the books” approach with measurable progress.
Indian competitive exam prep
UPSC / SSC / banking / GATE / NEET / JEE syllabuses translated into week-by-week study plans. The plan accounts for subject-mix balance (don’t do all quantitative for 4 weeks, then all verbal) and includes mock-test checkpoints.
Bootcamp / coding course
Self-paced bootcamp curricula become structured weekly plans. Useful for working professionals doing online courses (Coursera, Pluralsight, freeCodeCamp) where the optional “suggested pace” needs hardening into a real schedule.
Teacher building a course schedule
Teachers translating a curriculum framework into a semester plan. The output is a starting-point schedule the teacher edits for term-specific holidays, exam windows, and student-pace observations.
Corporate L&D programs
L&D managers building structured upskilling programs from vendor curricula (e.g. an internal Snowflake certification cohort). The plan format supports cohort scheduling and progress tracking.

How Syllabus to Study Plan works

Three steps. Sign in to run, zero retention — files never persisted on our servers.

  1. STEP 1
    Drop the syllabus
PDF up to 50 MB. Works on official certification syllabuses, university course outlines, exam framework docs.
  2. STEP 2
    We sequence + balance
Topics extracted, dependencies inferred (math before stats, basics before advanced), then sequenced into a 12-week plan with subject-mix balance and revision pad in the final week.
  3. STEP 3
    Get a structured study plan
Markdown output with: week 1–12 topic plan, weekly practice problem suggestions, mid-plan and final revision checkpoints. Page citations link each topic back to the syllabus section.

What makes pdfcraft ai different

  • Citations on every claim
Every AI summary, answer, and translation links back to the page it came from. You can verify the source before relying on the output. Hallucination is bounded, not blind.
  • Pay only for what you use
No subscription. Purchased credits never expire. Cancel anytime. Cost shown before you run — exact credit amount appears after upload.
  • Multi-provider routing, no vendor lock-in
We balance multiple AI providers per call to optimise cost and quality. If one has an outage, the next call automatically tries another. You're not bound to a single vendor's pricing or downtime.
  • Zero retention by design
Your PDF lives in memory only as long as the AI call needs it, then it's discarded — nothing is persisted to our servers. We don't fine-tune models on your data. Verifiable in your dashboard's audit log.
  • Honest about model limits
When a doc exceeds the model's context window we surface that the output was truncated (we render result.wasTruncated in every AI tool's UI). When a number can't be verified from the source we flag it. No silent failures.

Frequently asked questions

Why 12 weeks — can I get a different length?
12 weeks is the default because it matches a typical self-study sprint. Custom lengths (4 weeks for crash prep, 24 weeks for slow-burn) are on the roadmap. For now, scale the output mentally — if you have 6 weeks, double up weekly topic load; if 24 weeks, halve it.
Does it account for syllabus weights / exam patterns?
It tries — if the syllabus marks topics with weight indicators (10% for X, 20% for Y), the plan allocates time proportionally. If there’s no weight info, it allocates roughly evenly with high-dependency topics earlier.
Can it generate practice problems too?
The plan suggests TYPES of practice (e.g. “solve 5 mixed-difficulty problems on quadratic equations”) but doesn’t generate the problems themselves — you’ll need a problem source. For exam-specific practice, official prep books are still the best source.
What if my syllabus is in Hindi / regional language?
Best results in English. Hindi / regional-language syllabuses parse but topic naming may be inconsistent. For Indian competitive exams, the official syllabuses are usually published in English regardless of the exam medium.
What’s the credit cost?
3 credits per syllabus. Cost is fixed regardless of doc size.
What if the plan doesn’t match my prior knowledge?
The plan assumes baseline competence in the syllabus’s pre-requisites. If you’re behind on pre-reqs, you’ll need to add a pre-week or two. For above-baseline learners, you can compress the plan by 1–2 weeks. Treat it as a starting structure, not a fixed schedule.
