Frequently asked questions
Can I remove the watermark later?
No — once the watermark is drawn into the page content stream, it’s baked in. Always keep an unwatermarked master copy.
Will the watermark print?
Yes. Anything visible in viewers prints by default. If you want a screen-only watermark, that’s a different (more complex) Optional-Content-Group implementation.
Can I add an image watermark?
Not in this tool — Image Watermark is a separate visual editor (deferred). For now, text watermarks cover the most common cases.
Is anything uploaded?
No. pdf-lib runs in your browser.
What fonts are supported?
Helvetica Bold (the standard 14 PDF font, available without embedding). Custom fonts are a future extension.
