Add page numbers, watermarks, and headers in 30 seconds
Three operations that look like three tools but are actually one.
Page numbers, watermarks, and headers/footers are different versions of the same operation: add page-anchored content that appears on every page. The Page Numbers & Watermark tool handles all three; the technique is identical, just the content varies.
Adding page numbers
Pick a position (top/bottom, left/center/right). Pick a format (1, 2, 3 / Page 1 of N / Roman numerals). Pick which pages get numbers. The tool anchors the numbers to the page-relative position, so they appear on every page automatically.
Adding a watermark
Type the watermark text ('CONFIDENTIAL', 'DRAFT', 'COPY'). Pick the angle (typically 45° diagonal). Set opacity (15-30% is the sweet spot — visible but not overwhelming).
When to flatten after
If the recipient might want to remove the watermark, leave it unflattened. To make elements permanent, flatten the file before sharing.
